Saturday, October 20, 2012. The half marathon begins at 7:00 a.m at Tennessee Tech University.
The UCHHM is USTAF certified.
All participants on the course during the race must be registered and wearing a bib!
Participants must complete the Half Marathon within 4 hours (by 11:00am). This requires an 18 minute-per-mile pace or faster.
For your safety, be aware that roads on the course will not be fully closed. In addition, strollers are not permitted on the course.

- Mile 8 (Water and Gatorade)
- Mile 10 (Water)
- Mile 12 (Water and Gatorade)
Miles 4, 8, and 12 will also have portable toilets.

There will be a limit of 750 individual participants and 50 race teams in the 2012 Upper Cumberland Haunted Half Marathon.
Walkers are Welcome!
Participants must be 14 years old prior to race day.
Participants may be individuals or one of three members of a race team.
Get your friends together and run a 3-person relay!
- To register a team you need at least 3 participants, one of whom will also be designated as the captain.
- You will also need a team name. The captain sets up the team and registers.
- The team is not eligible for individual awards or the Run the Cumberlands medal.
- Each team member runs one of the 3 legs to complete the full 13.1 Half Marathon course.
Team Captain MUST run the last leg and cross the finish line with the correct timing chip in order to receive accurate timing.
- Leg 1: 3.5 miles
- Leg 2: 5.9 miles
- Leg 3: 3.7 miles
The UCHMM will recognize and award the top three male and female runners to cross the finish line in the half marathon.
- 1st place $750
- 2nd place $350
- 3rd place $200
Chip-timed will be used to establish age group winners and awards will be given in person after the race.
Each finisher of the Upper Cumberland Haunted Half Marathon will receive a race medal!
Every 25th costumed participant that finishes get an award.
HOW CAN I VOLUNTEER?
We welcome your participation as a volunteer! The event will need hundreds of volunteers to staff the aid stations, work the Expo and offer support to the runners at the start and finish. To volunteer, fill out the volunteer form or email email@example.com. All volunteers will receive an official race volunteer t-shirt.
WHAT IF I REGISTER AND THEN BECOME INJURED OR AM UNABLE TO ATTEND THE RACE?
Your race entry is non-refundable. There are no refunds for canceled entries.
CAN I TRANSFER MY REGISTRATION TO ANOTHER RUNNER?
No, your registration, racing bib and timing chip are non-transferable.
CAN SOMEONE ELSE PICK UP MY RACE PACKET ON MY BEHALF?
Yes you can have someone pickup your packet.
WHERE DO I PARK FOR THE EVENT?
There are parking spaces within walking distance to the start/finish line. A TTU campus map shows event locations including parking.
WHERE CAN I FIND RACE RESULTS?
After the race, results will be posted at runhauntedhalf.com within a few days.
