WCTE PBS Upper Cumberland Haunted Half Marathon, Relay, & 5K - October 19, 2024
Why should you run the Upper Cumberland Haunted Half Marathon?
When you register, 100% of your race entry proceeds go directly to support WCTE PBS! By supporting WCTE PBS, you are supporting access to engaging, educating and inspiring programming. When you run the Haunted Half Marathon, you promote life-long learning!
All eligible participating runners will receive a discount on a Craft Beer Festival Ticket!! The festival is held in Dogwood Park on the same day as the Haunted Half. Attendees will receive a commemorative glass for craft beer sampling and all the festival amenities. This event is also a fundraiser for WCTE PBS.

Relay Race - Is 13.1 miles too scary? Grab some boo’s or ghouls and form a relay team! A team of 3 can register, each person runs an equal amount 4.36 miles, and each participant will receive a short or long sleeved shirt option, custom bib, and race finishers medal.
Inaugural 5K -The 5K is new to the Haunted Half marathon! Runners will enjoy the same start and finish line, as well as the first mile of the half marathon. Each participant will receive a short or long sleeved shirt option, race finishers medal and custom bib.
Unique finisher's medal - Every year we feature a unique "haunted" themed finisher's medal that every runner who completes the race will receive.
Awesome shirt design - A custom short and long sleeve race shirt option with a distinctive themed design is included in your registration. Make sure you sign up before the shirt cut-off date to be guaranteed a shirt. This shirt will surely be one you want to wear again and again.
Awards – For the half marathon awards will be given to Overall 1st, 2nd, 3rd place male/female runners; 1st place, Master male/female over 40, and Grand Masters male/female over 50; and 1st, 2nd, 3rd place in each 5 year age group, beginning with under 19;
- For the relay teams that run the half marathon a 1st & 2nd place will be awarded.
- For the 5K an overall 1st, 2nd, 3rd place male/female will be awarded.
- Best Costume male/female and Best costume Relay team will be awarded
Participants - Participants must be 12 years old prior to race day to run the half marathon and 10 years old prior to race day to run the 5K.

Congrats to all on a great race in 2023! The 15th Annual Haunted Half Marathon welcomed a record number of runners, 485, and it was a great day. Thank you all for participating - we hope you had a good experience. We're preparing for the 2024 race, so stay tuned!
Past Years Race results are accessible via the button or by visiting http://runsignup.com/. If you see that you placed in an age group in the Half Marathon and did not claim your award at the race, you may call 931-528-2222 ext. 220 and come by WCTE main office at 229 E. Broad Street Cookeville (downtown) to get your award. Awards and unclaimed race bags and lost and found articles will be in the office for 1 week. Items will not be mailed unless you are a virtual runner and made prior arrangements for mailing.
